Against "Passive" Preservation
A practitioner who only collects dead software is a librarian of a graveyard. To practice Archaeobytology, one must also build. The Anvil is where we ask: "If this platform died because of centralization, how do we build a decentralized replacement?"
The Anvil is an active workspace. It is where we forge:

Field Notes
The Feedback Loop: The Archive feeds the Anvil. We study the rot to understand the material; we use that understanding to Hammer out better steel. A system built on the Anvil is "Pre-archived"—designed with its own preservation in mind.
